This quirky holiday home was once an old hay barn, and dates back 180 years. It’s been lovingly converted into a charming holiday apartment, an ideal base for a couple wanting to get out and explore the Great Outdoors. The apartment is in the old town of Bolvedro, where you can meander the narrow pedestrian streets with gelato in hand. It’s a wonderful base for visiting the towns and villages of Lake Como, with beautiful Varenna and Bellagio within easy reach. Hop on a ferry to explore, or go by foot – this home is right on the Greenway di Lago hiking trail, after all. You can stroll to the shore of Lake Como in three minutes, or even closer to home, spend time in the lovely gardens. Pick fresh figs, grapes and plums for breakfast, and fire up the barbecue for dinner. You’ll fall in love with this home, just as we did.
